Serving at Trinity

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”

- 1 Peter 4:9-10

We value equipping every member to serve.

Trinity's ministry philosophy is that the elders seek to equip members for the work of ministry and deacons help facilitate the work of ministry by the entire congregation. While we want to encourage the discovery and use of an individual's particular gifts, we also ask our members to guard against thinking this is the only way to serve. The work of the church gets done by a combination of people helping in areas where they are gifted and many, many more people helping out in areas where they don't have a particular "gift!"

The most important ways to serve at Trinity are not scheduled. Christ ministers through each of us as we share in life’s joys and troubles together, meeting needs, and bearing burdens. Yet there are a variety of planned ways to serve as well.

Ways to Serve

Greeting Team

The purpose of the Greeting Team is to welcome and direct members and guests during gatherings, anticipating needs related to navigation, seating, and facilities, as well as connecting them with others when they arrive.

Music Team

The purpose of the Music Team is to lead people to praise God in song by telling of who He is and what he has done in Jesus Christ.

Kids Team

The purpose of the Kids Team is to share the love of Jesus with the next generation. We do this by coming alongside parents for family discipleship and by creating a fun, safe, loving experience for children to hear from God’s Word, learn core truths about God, and hear the gospel on Sunday mornings.

Student Ministry Team

The purpose of the Student Ministry Team is to intentionally invest in the teenagers that attend Trinity Church. We do this by coming alongside parents for family discipleship and by creating opportunities to hear from God’s Word, learn core truths about God, equip students to engage relevant topics with truths of scripture, and hear the gospel on Sunday mornings.

Outreach Team

The purpose of the Outreach Team is to help our church expand our regular opportunities for relating to people in our community in order to tell them about Jesus.

Sound and Media Team

The purpose of the Sound and Media Team is to facilitate the public proclamation of Christ through skillful use of sound and media technology, preparing visual media and sound setup for corporate worship and maintaining our website for the edification people both inside and beyond our fellowship.

Safety Team

The purpose of the Safety Team is to facilitate the safety of people gathered for services by practicing vigilance for potential threats and responding competently to safety issues.

Hospitality Ministry

The purpose of Hospitality Ministry is to have people who are ready to open their homes to host small groups, “Family dinners,” and a variety of other gatherings in order to help foster the opportunity for Bible study and fellowship.

Ordinances Team

The purpose of the Ordinances Team is to facilitate logistically the practice of communion and baptism in our gathered worship services.
