Pastors (elders) are biblically qualified men who oversee the local church, particularly through teaching God's Word, praying, caring for church members, and training members to do the work of ministry.

Chris Bernstein

Elder

Chris serves as an elder at Trinity Church. He previously served as the church planting resident for sending church Centerville Christian Fellowship in 2019. Chris and his wife, Reagan, have been married since 2015 and they have one son, Miles. Chris graduated with his B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Boyce College at Southern Seminary. Chris enjoys reading, disc golf, and good coffee. His ministry and life have been influenced by pastors and authors like J.I. Packer, Jeremy Pierre, Jim Hamilton, and Paul David Tripp.

Glen Higgins

Elder

Glen serves as an elder at Trinity Church. He previously served as a pastoral resident at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas from 2022-2023. Before this, he served as a pastor and church planter in Seattle, Washington from 2018-2022. Glen and his wife, Keri, have been married since 2012, and they have four sons: Jack, Max, George, and Henry. Glen holds an MDiv from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Southwest Baptist University. Glen enjoys reading fiction, craft coffee, and the Kansas City Chiefs. His ministry and life have been influenced by pastors and authors like Mark Dever, Tim Keller, John Piper, and Nick Roark.

Jacob Kitchens

Elder

Jacob serves as an elder at Trinity Church. Jacob met his wife, Marin, at their sending church, Centerville Christian Fellowship, and they were married in 2020. They have one son named Emerson. Jacob holds an MDiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University. He currently works as a Resident Director at Cedarville University.  Jacob grew up in East Texas and loves all things Texas.  He enjoys soccer and football, traveling and learning about different cultures, playing board games, and is a foodie at heart. He enjoys reading missionary biographies and works by authors like Thomas Watson, John Piper, and Paul David Tripp.

Ed Vander Bush

Elder

Ed serves as an elder at Trinity Church. He previously served as an elder for sending church Centerville Christian Fellowship beginning in 2017. Ed has been married to his wife Missy since 2002, and they have three kids: Leah, Gabe, and Ben. Ed holds an MBA from Wright State University, a B.A. in Marketing from Cedarville University, and occasionally works on an MDiv. Ed enjoys reading, barbecuing, hunting, and fishing. His ministry and life have been influenced by pastors and authors like Michael Reeves, Herman Bavinck, Gordon Keddie, and Dale Ralph Davis.

Deacons

Deacons are biblically qualified men and women who take care of the physical and logistical needs of the church and help facilitate congregational ministry.

Sam Thompson

Deacon

Sam serves as deacon of setup/teardown at Trinity Church. He grew up in nearby Springfield, Ohio. He came to know Jesus at a young age, and God used the ministry of the local church and his time at Cedarville to grow his faith. Sam enjoys welcoming others into his home for small group and other friends and family gatherings.  Even from a very young age, he has had an affinity for construction and facilities, and enjoys projects working with his hands and using the practical abilities the Lord gave him to serve the Body. That primary role is currently assisting with Sunday setup and teardown. 

Matt Robinson

Deacon

Matt serves as a deacon of media at Trinity Church. He and his wife Karina grew up in a Christian home in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, and attended Cedarville University together. Matt came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior at an early age through the ministry of his parents and local church. Matt takes great joy in the gifts of music, baseball (the Cincinnati Reds are his favorite team), coffee shops, and board games. He especially loves to enjoy these things with others! His primary role is assisting with Sunday morning media operations.

Karina Robinson

Deaconess

Karina serves as a deaconess of media at Trinity. She and her husband Matt grew up in the Dayton area, attended Cedarville University, and were married in 2021. Karina received the gift of salvation at seven years old and continues to grow in her faith through the teaching and community of Trinity and relationships with believing friends and family. A few things that Karina enjoys are music, baking, board games, and a hot cup of tea. Her primary role is helping to maintain the Trinity Church website.

Eric Moorman

Music Ministry Leader

Eric was raised in Dayton and came to know Jesus at the age of 17. Since then he has served in several ministry positions in the areas of music, youth outreach, and small group leadership. He has been married to his wife Anna since 2014 and they have three sons: Joey, Wally, and Charlie. Some of his influences in ministry are R.C. Sproul, Voddie Baucham Jr., and C.S. Lewis.

Lindsey Fulton

Trinity Kids Leader

Lindsey serves as a Sunday School Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator for the Trinity Kids Ministry. She has a B.A. in Fine Art and a Masters is Education. After leaving her job as an art teacher to stay home full time with her kids, she began serving as a Bible teacher with Bible Study Fellowship.  She and her husband Jon have been married for 18 years and have two children, Violet and Emerson. She enjoys substitute teaching at her kids’ school, hosting people in their home, making pottery, and caring for their 13-acre property.

Abby Garman

Trinity Kids Leader

Abby and her husband Daniel met in high school, and have been married since 2004. They moved to the Dayton area in 2005, and God has blessed them with a family through biology, adoption, and foster care. She loves teaching and had the privilege of homeschooling their kids for over 10 years. Abby enjoys baking, crafting, and exploring nature. She loves history and is a sucker for a day at any museum, especially with her family.  Her happy place is a full house, and she loves having friends over for game nights. Her favorite Scripture passage is Philippians 4:4-8.
