Adult Bible Study

Friday - 10:30 AM

The Adult Bible Study group is meeting on Friday's, at 10:30AM in the parlor. We will continue our study of the Evangelical Catechism. A contemporary catechism published in Germany for adults (We re using the American Edition so you don't have to know German!). This covers everything in the Christian life and is not Luther's Small Catechism. I also have a concise little book on the five major world religions that is very relevant to this time in our nation's history. I recently heard the author speak; he is Teaching Pastor at St John Lutheran Church in Roanoke, VA. If you like lively discussion in a relaxed atmosphere, come and join in!

Sharing

We began sharing our building with another congregation called, Christ Eternal Kingdom Ministries, in January 2010. This is an independent congregation that came here with about 25 members. They are worshiping in our Social Hall on Sundays at 11:00 AM, and hold Bible study and Prayer Service on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:00 PM in the Tyme Room. The lead pastor's name is David King.

We felt that our building was meant for the worship of God; that use is being continued in this arrangement. We believe this sharing is a witness to our Christian ideals and mission. Both congregations have been demonstrating mutual hospitality and consideration for each other and the arrangement is working well.

In Christ,
Pastor Doug Jacobs
